FAQ

  1. What is a Pew Rally fundraiser?
    A Pew Rally is a fun and interactive church event where teams come together to fellowship and compete while raising funds for a meaningful cause.
  2. When is the Pew Rally at the River event?
    Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
  3. How can I participate?

You can participate by either:

  • Becoming a Team Captain: Fill one or more pews with 8 people or more on each pew.
  • Joining a Team: If you’re not a captain, you can join someone else’s team to help them fill their pew(s).
  1. How is this a fundraiser?

Each person you invite to join your pew is asked to donate $20.25 to kick off 2025. All funds raised will go towards the Imagining More Capital Campaign!   It’s a friendly competition, so you can donate any amount you wish. Note: If someone is unable to attend, feel free to ask them to donate directly to the cause.

  1. How do I select my pew(s)?
  • A sign-up sheet will be available before and after church commencing Sunday, December 29th.
  • Pew assignments are on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Sign up early to choose your preferred pew(s)! If your preferred pew is already taken, you’ll be able to choose from the available options.
  1. When do I need to turn in my donations?

All donations should be placed in the assigned envelope and submitted on or before the day of the rally. Pew captains are responsible for submitting all donations during the special offering time on the rally Sunday, January 12th.

  1. Who will be counted on my pew?

Everyone who joins your team, including ROLF members, will count as part of your pew.

  1. Who should I invite to join me as a pew captain?

Invite family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, fraternity/sorority members, alumni, and others to fill your pew(s) and contribute to the cause!

  1. What are the categories for winners?

There will be two winners:

  1. Pew Captain with the most people presentduring the headcount on rally day.
  2. Pew Captain who raises the most money.

Additional Information:

  • Pew captains may choose a color for their team to wear on rally day.
  • Pew captains will receive an envelopes to collect all donations, and a much larger envelope to turn in on the day of the event.
  • Only pew captains will be assigned to walk around during the special offering time to submit donations.
